I came to therapy as a client and became passionate about the benefits of therapy because of the changes I experienced in my own life. I am a fellow traveler along the path to healing who knows suffering. It is a great honor to help people reduce unnecessary suffering and improve pleasure, wellness, and ease in their lives. Learning about ourselves is a life-long process as we are constantly exposed to new experiences. There is always room to improve our relationships and the rewards are real. My work with clients is eclectic and is informed by the following practice approaches: strengths-based, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and relational psychotherapy. Additionally, I have received specific training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Informed Stabilization Treatment (TIST). Both therapies have their roots in emotional, body-based, and experiential approaches as well as neuroscience and attachment theory.
