For detailed information on how to become a new client visit: theroostcounseling.com. My goal is for you to have choice in your life. In my work with clients I focus on reducing negative beliefs, strengthening relationships, increasing mindfulness, and incorporating life events. I enjoy working with children, adults, and families who are in transition or have experienced recent or ongoing life changing events or trauma. I have a calm, playful, and motivating presence. This means that as a counselor I will create a personable relationship that offers a sense of safety and a place for you to express your true concerns and emotions. I will help you move past what is keeping you stuck by offering creative techniques and a straight-forward approach. I’m passionate about working with motivated clients who struggle with perfectionism, anxiety, and separating their own emotions and needs from those around them. All work with kids is paired with parent coaching. I incorporate EMDR, expressive arts, play therapy, mindfulness, CBT, DBT, and attachment and somatic-based practices into sessions with clients.
