Are you tired of feeling stuck? Are your goals just beyond your reach? Do you struggle with managing your emotions? Is your past dictating your future and you can't seem to shake the hold it has on your life? Well, these are concerns I hear frequently and are shared by clients with whom I have had the most success. Believing that we are our own experts and that sometimes life clouds our understanding causing us to lose our way, I help guide clients to greater self awareness and identification of their strengths that help them take charge of their life. I am committed to helping clients find self-understanding, heal emotional pain and create more fulfilling lives within a safe and nurturing environment. While a variety therapeutic approaches support my work, my greatest strength comes from establishing a quality therapeutic relationship that conveys warmth, understanding and allows you to truly feel seen. I also provide Clinical Supervision for both BLSW and OBLPCT. I have provided supervision for more than 7 years. I enjoy training and developing competent, ethical and effective therapists using the Bernard's Discrimination Model of supervision. My ideal client is struggling with emotion dysregulation and compulsive behaviors in reaction to difficult emotions. They are looking for assistance in managing these emotions, and open to developing a new relationship with their feelings and thoughts in order to pursue what is important to them. I approach counseling from a cognitive-behavioral framework, understanding that our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are inextricably linked to one another. However, I believe that we all have the power to become who we want to be. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, assisting my clients to identify their values and live in accordance with them. What you are experiencing is hard. And opening up to talk about it sometimes feels even harder. We all need a helping hand at some point, but reaching out for that help takes so much courage. I commend you for even getting to the point of reading this profile. If you can believe it, things can get so much better if you are willing to reach out.

I am passionate about human beings and an avid advocate for mental health.  I believe each person has a unique and important story that they bring to therapy and I strive to create space for each client to share, connect, and grow. There is great strength and vulnerability in seeking help and I consider it a privilege to assist others in their journey through therapy. When working with clients, I use an eclectic approach in practice in order to best fit the client's needs.  I view counseling as a collaborative effort in helping clients to recognize strengths, identify needs, understand conflicts and discover new options. My areas of specialization include: Child Therapy, Trauma Healing, Families/Couples, Mood Disorders & Sexual Addictions. I'm passionate about creating space to discuss and work through challenges and believe therapy can be a helpful environment to be intentional about growth and healing. Overall, I strive to be my genuine self in the counseling room; I like to be candid with clients and invite them to be their true self as well without fear of judgment. I am equally easy going as well as willing to challenge clients in the process of therapy. I believe therapy is a place to share laughter, tears, joy, trials, and everything in between.

Now Accepting New Clients for January: Individuals, couples, and families- Therapy is a collaborative journey of discovery. It is my belief that our healing lies in the gifts we have yet to uncover. As we learned to exist in this challenging world, these gifts often became clouded or adapted to meet our survival needs. The weight of our past, the stress of our daily lives, and our fears for the future can begin to drag us down and dull our experience. Through a process that is gentle, intuitive and individually tailored my goal is to help you unearth your gifts so you can move through your life with more lightness and ease. I use an integration of somatic, expressive, experiential and trauma informed therapy techniques, gentle movement and mindfulness to assist you in reclaiming your divine spark. Therapy excites me because no two client journeys are ever quite the same. The unfolding of your unique wisdom, your personal liberation, is an honor and a joy to witness. Therapy doesn't have to feel painful or scary. It can be expansive, exhilarating, even fun! If you're curious about embarking on this adventure together I would be honored to take the first step with you. I offer a free 20 minute consultation to connect and explore whether we could be a good fit for your healing journey.
