A majority of my clients are seeking an experienced mental health therapist/relationship counselor in whom they place confidence that their most deeply-held spiritual values are understood and shared. I primarily treat Christian individuals, couples and families that are facing difficulties with anger and abuse, blended-family, sexual addiction, unfaithfulness, marital discord, or depression and anxiety, along with a variety of spiritual concerns. If you desire to strengthen and deepen your personal understanding of and relationship with Jesus Christ while working through the common challenges and obstacles of life that are addressed in mental health and relationship counseling, then I might be a good fit for you or someone you know in need. In addition to over 30 years of church ministry experience and 20 years of counseling experience, I earned both a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry (Family Ministry Emphasis) and a Master of Arts in Counseling. This blessing of a unique blend of education, training, and experience gives me the confidence and competence to effectively help others.

My specialty areas for therapy include working with adults and older adults to address concerns like anxiety, attention problems, changes in cognitive functioning, adjustments and age-related transitions, and trauma. My therapeutic style is person-centered, strengths-focused, and relational. You can expect sessions to feel warm, compassionate, affirming, and collaborative. I help clients better understand themselves by drawing connections between the way they are feeling and the family and social systems they are part of. It's hard to find a therapist!
