Hello! I want to help you get back to living your life as soon as possible. You'll find me to be passionate about providing a safe, confidential, supportive, and collaborative environment for you. My approach is influenced by my values of honesty, responsibility, accountability, compassion, and respect. I practice primarily from a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) perspective meaning I focus closely on the interconnectedness of your thoughts/beliefs/values, feelings, and behaviors to help you work toward your goals. I treat a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationship issues. Also, I have worked in a variety of settings in the mental health field. I am currently participating in PSYPACT which allows me the privilege of practicing virtually in 36 states (and growing). Finding the right "fit" in a therapist is one of the most important pieces of the puzzle. Once we meet, if we determine that we are not a fit, I'd be happy to guide you to someone who can and/or provide you with resources that may better help. I look forward to meeting you.

I am a child, adolescent and family therapist and I am devoted to counseling children, adolescents, and their caregivers in individual and family therapy. I have a broad base of experience helping children and their families address emotional and behavioral issues, including issues associated with ADHD, anxiety, depression, and PTSD, as well as environmental stresses such as bullying, relationship strain, divorce, single/blended families, and adoption. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches depending on the needs of the client including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and the family systems approach. I have found it beneficial in many cases to involve other family members in order to understand the family dynamic and learn ways to support each other and develop healthy family relationships. I also have extensive training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), an evidence-based treatment model that has been proven effective in helping children and adolescents overcome the effects of traumatic events. Parents and caregivers are instrumental in the healing process and I have seen great results for these clients.

I have always been a natural listener who loves to sit alongside others who are hurting. I am passionate about giving people a safe space to share their voice and be heard. I have experience working with individuals suffering from a variety of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, self-worth/self-esteem issues, relational issues, spiritual issues, sexuality and gender identity concerns, non-suicidal self-injury, trauma, and eating disorders. I believe in adapting treatment according to each client’s needs, and so I draw interventions as needed from a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. I see it as a privilege to walk alongside people in both the joys and the trials in life. I know the courage it takes to reach out for help. I would love to help you as you take that brave step for yourself. I believe that within a safe space, the benefit outweighs the risk that comes with vulnerability.

At a time of unprecedented mental health crisis, there is hope in new approaches that integrate ancient wisdom with modern advances. We have the capacity to create new realities when we understand the nature of our own patterns of thought and behavior. This consciousness is the first step toward healing. Contemplative psychotherapy enables introspective awareness of mental processes and behavior and is a necessary pre-requisite for effective self-regulation. I see my role as a guide and facilitator to help you discover the resources within to become an active agent of your own healing and growth. You'll develop new awareness about the patterns in your life that no longer serve you and learn new skills to transform those patterns. I integrate mindfulness—including compassion for self and others, and embodied methods like imagery, somatic experiencing and breathwork into novel contemplative therapies for healing trauma and treating a wide range of psychological ailments. I invite you to take the step in uncovering the gems of wellbeing within you.
