Every person has value and experiences challenges as part of living. I enjoy working with individuals helping with change and growth in their lives. I am excited to work with people in understanding challenges they face, helping them to work through these challenges in a more productive manner, and using the knowledge and tools I have to benefit their needs. I enjoy using the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Art & Sandtray; as well as Mindfulness techniques. Creating a safe place of trust is priority, a place where the client can open up and address their most sensitive and difficult challenges. Hi, I am Brian. I look forward to working with you and offering tangible hope to hold onto. I have primarily focused in two areas of therapy: couples and children. However, I have deep empathy for those going through grief, domestic violence, conflict with faith, and traumatic experiences. Whether you are a couple, individual, or parent and child coming into therapy, I will provide a space to listen and help you process your concerns. Together we will determine what the best approach to therapy will be for your desired goals and make a plan to reach that goal with me or a therapist that is the best fit for you. I often use CBT interventions to help clients learn skills and gain insight. However, I want you to have a dynamic experience with therapy by actively experiencing your emotions and/or relationships in a new way. I often use experiential/attachment therapies with individuals and children, and primarily use Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) with relationships. Deciding to do therapy can be scary, especially when you aren’t sure of what you need or if the journey seems long. I admire the courage you have to face that challenge and to embrace a new way of thinking or being. I look forward to meeting you and I am grateful to be a part of your experience.

Therapy can help treat mental illness and help one overcome emotional and behavioral problems that tend to disrupt normal functioning. Ultimately, anyone can develop a mental illness. My goal is to help you and/or your loved one grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. Welcome to Relational Spaces! You’re here because you see something in me that you’re hoping will understand something in you. You want change in your life & in a space where connection matters most. It might be in yourself, your family or your friend groups. You might be having struggles at school or at work. You may see challenges in your community that are making you question if you belong. There may be challenges you haven’t been able to wrap your brain around and you need a good ear and another set of eyes. I became a social worker because I love listening to people’s stories. I became a clinician because it trained me to walk with people on their journeys. I’m an educator because I believe life’s experiences are the ultimate teacher. I co-create maps with my clients using relationship and cultural-based theories. I call the therapy office a dumping ground because people deserve a place to get rid of what’s weighing them down. We will sort through the load. We will examine what’s there and decide what’s necessary, what’s helpful, what’s tangled & whether we need to detangle or grab the scissors! I’ve got a pretty good toolbox to share with you. I’m ready when you are!
