Dr. Robyn Resh Davinic is a licensed psychologist, practicing outpatient mental health therapy and psychological and neuropsychological assessments in Northern Virginia for over 20 years. Robyn conducts therapy with adults ages 20 and older using primarily a cognitive behavioral orientation. She also utilizes theories and strategies such as: family systems theory, solution focused therapy, and positive psychology including strengths-based therapy. She assists clients in identifying their feelings, and the negative self-talk that contributes to their emotional struggles and less then ideal behaviors. Dr. Resh Davinic works with clients to raise their self-awareness, develop coping skills, determine their short-term and longer-term goals, and to enhance their emotional resiliency in times of stress. Dr. Davinic provides comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and ADHD testing for adults. She has experience evaluating and treating individuals at all levels of neurocognitive compromise. She evaluates cognitive capabilities, executive functioning, attention/concentration, socio-emotional, personality, and behavioral functioning.

Factors such as depression, anxiety, attention difficulties, substance abuse, and posttraumatic stress can be overwhelming. My goal in working with clients is to improve their day to day lives, relationships, and ability to function in a work/school setting. Much of the focus of my work with clients is providing them with the tools and skills needed to change negative thought patterns and problematic behaviors. I highly value the opportunity to work alongside clients when establishing short and long-term goals for care. I strive to combine meaningful interactions with a professional knowledge base to establish treatment goals that are unique to each client. Those I have worked with enjoy a welcoming therapeutic environment and a strengths-based perspective that improves their sense of self and confidence. I am available for in-person sessions in Fairfax and in Ashburn. I also offer virtual sessions. I will happily work with a variety of population groups, including adolescents, young adults, aging adults, families, and veterans.
