If life is a struggle and you feel like it is getting harder for you to do things you used to enjoy, I would love to help you get where you want to be. You deserve to be happy and live the life you are meant to live. Sometimes we may need someone to help us travel our path through life and walk with us. If you are anxious, depressed or wondering how you will ever get through your emotional storm, call me and I will ride the wave with you. You are worth the best I can give. The purpose of my life is to help you find meaning and purpose in yours. Your life is your story. Write well. Edit often. I spent 30 years as a prison psychologist before retiring in 2016. The facility I worked at, the Wisconsin Resource Center, was the mental health facility for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections. I started my private practice called Fox River Counseling Center in 2010. My background is in sports psychology, trauma treatment, anxiety, depression and personality disorders, with intensive training in DBT, EMDR, CPT and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. I have many years experience in trauma therapy. I have much experience working with athletes who struggle with anxiety surrounding their sport or wish to improve their mental game. I was born and raised in Oshkosh, attended North High School and graduated in 1979. I am a proud husband and father to 4 wonderful kids, 2 have graduated from college and have started their careers, 1 is currently in college and 1 in high school. I have 3 dogs, 1 cat and 2 horses. I enjoy attending Lifest each summer and watching my kids' activities. I am a current high school and former college pole vault coach.
