I am skilled at working with clients from diverse backgrounds, who struggle with mood disorders, substance abuse, addiction, depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, and identity issues. In most cases, it is hard to find a counselor clients can connect with. I am dedicated to understanding the unique struggles of clients–therapy is never a one-size-fits-all approach. I am trained to help clients figure out tangible solutions to issues and develop skills to meet their goals. I have been at the receiving end of therapy a few times, and I know it can be hard. It takes courage and dedication to acknowledge there is a problem that needs fixing. I believe you are the expert on your life, and I value your insights. I aim to equip you with the right tools to successfully navigate through future challenges. When therapy fails to produce the desired outcome, it affects both the client and the therapist. My greatest goal and passion in life is to help people thrive. No matter how big or small a problem may seem, a solution is always possible. I look forward to getting in touch with you so we can explore ways to help you feel good and live life like you want to.

Hello! I am passionate about utilizing movement based interventions to help clients improve their mental health. As a Certified RunWalkTalk(R) Therapist (runwalktalk.com), I encourage the use of movement, such as walking, running, or hiking in therapy sessions instead of the traditional in-office sit down sessions. I specialize in anxiety, ADHD, LGBTQIA+, self esteem, body image, and stress. I also have training in mindfulness based interventions. I work with those who are feeling stuck or unmotivated, have had chronic or acute issues with anxiety or depression, and those that are on a journey to becoming their most authentic self and would like to live their most fulfilling life. I work with the LGBTQIA+, non-monogamous/ENM, and kink/BDSM communities who may have had difficulties finding a non-judgmental space where they can just be without having to explain details about their identity that may or may not be relevant to the therapeutic process. I understand from a personal standpoint the challenges that are faced from people in these populations when seeking therapy. I provide a safe space for you to fully explore your authentic self, while working in collaboration with you to achieve your goals for therapy in order for you to live your best and most fulfilling life. My personal identities and life experiences have led me down the path to helping others in a way that is empathic and understanding. Trying to make changes and discovering one's true identity can feel overwhelming. It is a process that takes time, patience, and a willingness to be vulnerable. It is a path that you do not have to travel alone, and it would be my honor to help you on your journey. If you are ready to take that first step toward change today, I would love to hear from you.

In a safe space to share your true self, you can begin your journey toward optimal living. There is so much healing that comes from simply being able to speak your truth. I can help you set manageable and achievable goals to become the person you are truly meant to be. No matter what you’re struggling with or how you identify, I am here to be your helpful guide on your journey through life.

We all have had times when we find ourselves contemplating our understanding of life and whether our life has progressed on the path that we had envisioned. We may be experiencing states of grief, self-doubt, and worry about ourselves, our relationships, or the condition of the world in general. It can often feel frustrating and overwhelming to accept this experience and we can find ourselves asking, "What did I ever do to deserve this; why me and why now?" These are often the scenarios when we require support and a new perspective with which to consider life's challenges. My primary focus is the study and practice of trauma informed therapies. The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) study has become central to my clinical work. My sessions include elements of psychoeducation regarding the effects of trauma and integrating Somatic Experiencing, auricular acupuncture, reflexology, Chi Kung and trauma sensitive yoga. The research done by Vincent Fellitti, Bessel van der Kolk and others have shown that the somatic interventions are remarkably effective for treatment of trauma. These modalities combined with an empathic and compassionate setting allow me to provide the best possible care in support of the clients' needs and goals.

For most of us, anxiety and stress can inhibit our ability to be fully present. Sometimes, all it takes is a new perspective to find the clarity to create a new reality, build fulfilling relationships, and grow into the best version of yourself. I help women experiencing stress, anxiety, and self doubt to overcome life’s challenges and create healthy relationships. Navigating friendships, dating, and changing family dynamics can be a roller coaster in your 20s and 30s—a time where you might grow apart from old friends, experience roommate conflicts, explore intimacy for the first time, or get clear on what you want out of life. Through our work, you’ll learn to identify your needs, set boundaries, and have more effective conversations. We’ll also dig into your past to understand how formative experiences contribute to your current relationship patterns. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, we’ll reframe any unhelpful stories that keep you stuck so you can write new stories that lead to healthier, happier, and more fulfilling relationships. My approach to therapy is casual and conversational. As a result of our time together, you’ll be empowered to create meaningful connections and life changes that last.

My passion comes from helping people move past the losses and traumas of their past and into a rich and full life. Trauma and the losses we experience in life can wound us on every level - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. My desire is to see you pick up the pieces and create a beautiful life beyond the struggle of grief, anxiety, postpartum difficulties, infertility, disordered eating, childhood abuse, and other painful life events. My approach is one of compassion, honesty, and a little bit of sass - to help you rediscover a life of passion, beauty, joy, fulfillment, and empowerment. I have a professional and personal investment in working with those who have experienced the death of a child during pregnancy, infancy, childhood, or adulthood. I also work well with those who experience long-term chronic and/or complex trauma and who feel past approaches haven't been as helpful. I practice from a health at every size (HAES) perspective. I see clients Monday thru Wednesday. Email is the preferred method of contact (Honestly, I'm terrible with voicemail). I do my best to respond to every request (usually on Thurs/Fri), however, times are weird and sometimes life gets in the way. If you do not get a response within 1 week, please accept my apologies and assume that I don't have availability.
