I am a social worker who specializes in couples and sexual-related issues. I do a lot of work with couples around infidelity, trust and sexual issues. I spend much time helping couples overcome the aftermath of affairs and help lead them to a better relationship than they previously had. I also work with individuals with problems like depression, anxiety and loss. I do my sessions exclusively by video and phone and have done teletherapy for about five years. My style is very casual and thoughtful. And I have become very adept at doing teletherapy. I find that most of my clients prefer this format. In couples work, I teach that communication is different for men and women. I help couples and individuals with sexual issues like lack of desire, performance anxiety, dysfunction, coming out issues and relationship types (consensual nonmonogamy and monogamy) and navigating these. I am looking forward to hearing from you. I know that sexual and relationship issues can be difficult to discuss, but with my style I think you'll feel quite comfortable talking with me. You will find reaching out for the initial conversation with me that I am not judgemental in the least and that you will feel at ease speaking with me.

Did you know that we are biologically wired to seek out connection, understanding and soothing from our fellow human beings? When connection and understanding are not happening with others, we become dysregulated and engage in behaviors that, on the surface, may not make a lot of sense to us. I will help you understand your behaviors and from this place of understanding and acceptance you can make the changes you desire. Emotional and physical safety is one of the most important factors in a successful therapeutic experience. Together we can work to create a relationship in which you feel heard and understood. I am eclectic in my approach but the underlying foundation of all of my treatment approaches is the belief that we are wired for attachment, connection and belonging with each other. When these needs are not met, we are not living to our full potential. I utilize Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy among others to increase connection and belonging. If you are tired of beating yourself up and believing that you are "too much" or "not enough", please reach out. Together, we can create the changes you desire.

Counseling with a healthy dose of sarcasm, swearing, and authenticity. We all know that life isn't easy. Everyone of us is challenged whether it's everyday life struggles, relationship problems, infertility, life transitions, or other mental health concerns. The strain of these stressors can build until you find yourself completely exhausted and overwhelmed. It takes strength to recognize that you need a little help. I'm hoping to help clients who are willing to be challenged, are seeking empathy, and are ready to make changes. It is my hope that clients can leave therapy feeling more centered and more capable to face life. As a therapist, I strive to make clients feel heard and understood. You can expect empathy and understanding during our sessions while we focus on challenging ingrained thought processes and negative core beliefs. I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and maternal mental health and it is my goal to help you access the best version of yourself. I believe that healing and collaboration comes from a healthy, therapeutic relationship where we can have honest and open conversations. Don’t get me wrong, we’ll do the hard work and it won’t always be easy, but we’ll do it together and with a little humor.

I believe everyone deserves a second chance. No matter what our difficulties are in the past and present, it does not define who we are in the future. I am a lifelong learner who tries to instill the same passion in my clients as education is the key to unlocking our future. I strive to advocate for children as they learn to express their needs and desires. I use my background as a teacher, school counselor, and administrator to help facilitate the change necessary to unlock a better future. View 8 Photos I have experience with students as they experience pre-deployment, deployment, and post-deployment in group settings where they are able to build relationships and bonds with others experiencing the same situation. I have worked with youth as they have advocated their identity and then supported their needs as they have “come out” to their loved ones. I am committed in supporting the LGBTQ+ youth with organizations and members in the community where they could feel welcome and safe as they explore the world around them. I enjoy being outside, hunting, camping, playing with my dogs, traveling, and taking road trips. I love to learn and explore the history of the world around us!
