I work with individuals, couples, and families who seek support in understanding and working through dynamics such as difficulties with communication in interpersonal relationships, anxiety and depression, identity exploration, and life transitions. Do you feel like you need a translation device to understand your partner's concerns? Are you struggling to maintain boundaries you set in your life? Let's work together to navigate those challenges! My living experience as a queer person informs my approach to therapeutic work in every capacity. I specialize in identity exploration and trauma-focused care with individuals as well as communication and relationship dynamics with small groups or pairs with intimate connections, including polycules, couples, friends, families, and roommates. Whether you would like short-term support in addressing contextual anxiety or long-term therapeutic care as you embrace all that life sends your way, I will be in your corner!

Hi, I'm Anna Often the way we talk to ourselves informs how we feel and what we do. Are you feeling stuck? Do you struggle with self-esteem? Are you unfulfilled? I am here to guide you through the process of harnessing your internal power to free you from stagnation and lead you towards self-acceptance, compassion, and symptom relief. I earned a dual master’s degree from Columbia University, one in Clinical Psychology and one in Mental Health Counseling. My therapeutic style integrates a relational approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), two evidence-based practices that are effective in treating anxiety and depression by focusing on how our thoughts impact our feelings and behaviors. I am committed to working with you to help you become unstuck, to move forward and realize your potential. And to build the momentum you need to lead a fulfilling life.

I’m a licensed Clinical Psychologist based in Dallas, TX with extensive experience in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, having trained for two years at Parkland Memorial Hospital in the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit and Psychiatric Consult Service. In my final year of training, I worked at the University of Texas, Arlington, assisting students of all ages and backgrounds in managing depression anxiety, increasing academic performance, and addressing other emotional needs. After completing my doctorate, I began postdoctoral training at Dallas Therapy Alliance, where I furthered training in providing long-term individual psychotherapy. I successfully started my own practice in 2018 where I work with a diverse population of adult clients who are seeking assistance with mood and personality disorders, as well as individuals who are seeking change or growth to become better partners, parents, and selves.

You should be proud that you’ve decided to take this first step of making yourself a priority. It takes courage to be vulnerable and admit, “I’m not ok.” Being willing to ask for help is a strength. At times in life, we may feel stuck and overwhelmed by debilitating burdens. Now is the time for healing and to work on releasing those heavy emotions. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, it is my goal to create a non-judgmental empathetic safe space to process feelings, learn to let go, and support you on your therapeutic journey. I’m sure you would like to know a little about my journey as well. I grew up in sunny San Diego in California. I enjoyed being a short drive from the beach and the beautiful weather. During my spare time, I love being with my family, husband, son, and dog Baxter. I strive to focus on my self-care with activities like acupuncture, being outdoors, traveling, and music festivals. You also may find me eating at all the different taco spots that Austin has to offer. My favorite is the Migas Taco from Veracruz All Natural! I got my Bachelor’s degree in psychology because I’ve always been fascinated with how the mind works. I moved to Austin to be close to my sister and nephew and pursue my Master's of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University. Ever since I was little, I loved listening to everyone’s stories and helping people. I truly knew from a young age that I had an innate ability that was meant for supporting others. I always feel honored when people trust me on a deeper level and are truly able to be their authentic selves in our work together. Thank you for allowing me to go on this journey with you.
