I am a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT/LCMFT) with over 20 years of experience working in mental health, hospital, long-term care, and school/special education settings, with all ages. I received a BA in Recreation Therapy; in 2004 I earned an MS degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Currently, I have a full-time private practice, offering sessions virtually to residents of VA/KS/WA state. I work with all ages and specialize in children, teens & young adults, as well as couple/parenting support. Some of the areas of my special training are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), structural and strategic family therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). From 2004 to 2019, I worked in various roles at Inova Kellar Center (IKC), a non-profit, community-based outpatient facility in Northern Virginia that provides mental health and substance abuse services, as well as special education for children, adolescents, and families. I enjoy providing clinical supervision to those working towards a LMFT or LPC in Virginia - sessions are offered virtually.

Lisa S. Larsen, PsyD helps people get unstuck from trauma and grief. She does this with EMDR therapy, clinical hypnosis, solution-focused brief therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. She has been in private practice since 2004 working with individual adults, children and adolescents, families. Her passion is to help clients move past painful and difficult events in their lives so they could enjoy life and have a better relationship with themselves and others. She uses hypnosis in therapy as well as coaching to enhance self-acceptance, overcome self-destructive habits, and improve stress management. Prior to establishing her private practice, she worked in community mental health clinics and drug and alcohol abuse programs in the San Francisco Bay Area. She moved to Lancaster in 2009 and has been joyfully serving her community there since. She provides psychotherapy and coaching online to California residents through HIPAA-compliant video therapy. If you would like to learn more about Dr. Larsen’s work, please visit https://www.lisaslarsen.com. Her coaching is focused on removing obstacles to radical self-acceptance so that her clients can take care of themselves physically, emotionally and spiritually. Once this foundation of self-care is established, all other goals in other areas of life can be improved much more easily. Life can become harmonious and any effort clients expend can be focused on life improvement in the present, rather than the past.
