Recent Updates From Arielle Balbus
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024
Life is messy. As we all navigate it the best we can, a lot of us find survival strategies that make sense at the time but don’t serve us in the long run. If you or your child are having trouble in relationships, feeling consistently down or anxious, or finding yourself stuck in painful past experiences, therapy can help identify patterns that don’t serve you and build practices that enable you to thrive.
I am a strengths-based, trauma-informed psychologist with a commitment to social justice and cultural humility. While the heart of my approach is attachment-based and psychodynamic, I regularly incorporate ideas from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based behavioral approaches such as ACT and DBT.
I work with children, adults, and families, and specialize in therapy with adolescents and young adults. Reaching out to begin therapy can be daunting. I always start with a complimentary call to begin getting to know each other and seeing if it feels like a fit.
