As a therapist I believe the answers we seek are within ourselves and it takes courage to find them. I want to support and guide people on their journeys to find answers and help them lead more fulfilling lives. I counsel children, adolescents, adults, and families. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Person-Centered techniques when working with clients. I am also certified in play therapy and use play as one method, when working with children, to communicate, explore, and express feelings.
I approach clients with empathy and authenticity and guide them based on individual needs and comfort level. In private practice and agency work, I work with clients of all ages from children through adults struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, divorce, grief and loss, emotion regulation, low self-esteem, and a variety of other life stressors.
As a parent and a former teacher, I am experienced in recognizing individual needs and have developed the interpersonal skills to work with clients of all ages. I provide clients with a safe environment, free from judgment, creating an atmosphere of mutual respect. Seeking help takes courage. I would be honored to share in your journey of self-exploration.
