Do you question if your wants and needs are reasonable? Are you finding yourself in relationships where you give more than you get? Does it seem impossible to set boundaries when you know it will disappoint someone? And just as impossible to get out of your own head? As a therapist, I am committed to empowering you to trust yourself, understand the science behind your "symptoms," and ultimately improve your relationships (whether you're in one or not). I'll help you develop skills to support connection while reducing self-doubt and worry, using the wisdom of your unique nervous system.
I utilize ACT, Polyvagal Theory, mindfulness, and other skills-based interventions to support learning, symptom management, shame resilience, and behavioral change. I believe in the necessity of evidence-based practices and therefore continually receive training and education on best practices for treating trauma and mood disorders.
Over the years, I have worked with clients of diverse backgrounds, and in various settings from prisons to private practice. It taught me much about the human experience. While no one is immune to suffering, it is in the safety of human connection that we can heal and find happiness. It is my privilege to help you find yours. Click the link to connect.
