Recent Updates From Jess May
Last updated | Wednesday March 26, 2025

My goal in therapy is to help clients grow and connect with their most authentic selves. I am passionate about working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. As a queer and nonbinary person, I am uniquely tuned into the needs of gender expansive individuals and am very passionate about working with LGBTQ+ people. Finding a therapist that you don't have to explain your identity to can be challenging. I am someone who intimately understands and can provide specialized care.
I am student at the University of Central Florida's online Master of Social Work program, and previously studied at Kennesaw State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. I also interned at Kate's Club, a community nonprofit for children, teens, their families, and young adults who have experienced the death of someone close to them.
I work to make people feel comfortable and safe in our sessions. I lean towards cognitive-based, somatic, and mindfulness-based interventions. Please call or email me to start the process!
