Recent Updates From Mitzi Quint
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024

I'll be accepting new clients late December. Are you struggling with loss, unwanted changes, or stressful life transitions? Do you feel alone in your struggle, that others don't really understand? Whatever your distress, I can help you find ways to cope with overwhelming emotions and to move forward in your challenging world, discovering new possibilities for yourself. My expertise is in grief due to death, but I have over 20 years therapy experience with loss and transitions of all kinds: chronic and terminal illness, end of life issues, caregiving, troubling relationships, job loss and changes, life passages, and identity changes.
I have extensive experience in complicated grief that can follow the loss of a child, multiple losses, or loss due to suicide/violence, and am trained in EMDR to relieve traumatic memories. I also specialize in loss that is complicated by secrets or troubled relationships, working to find a new path toward acceptance and peace.
One-hour sessions may include writing, creative visualization & mindfulness to explore beyond the limits of talk therapy. Many clients are surprised by the powerful insights that arise from these creative explorations. While I do not provide counseling from a particular religious viewpoint, I welcome your beliefs or questionings as part of our work together.
