You can cuss, cry, or get angry. There are no expectations in therapy. You can be yourself in therapy without being judged or trying to please someone. Maybe you've been in therapy before; it was nice for someone to listen & they gave you coping skills, but that wasn’t enough. You logically know one thing, but your emotions tell you another. You realize you never got to the root of the problem to heal. You put a Band-Aid on, & kept going. You’ve tried talking to friends, doing self-care, and distracting yourself. You are exhausted & feel like things aren’t going to change. The same patterns keep repeating, people seem to treat you the same way, and you don’t know how to change. Its painful & frustrating to be stuck and want so bad to change, but not know how.
