Recent Updates From Sara Grunstein
Last updated | Tuesday February 18, 2025

I work with children, adolescents and adults, helping to support them and to make meaning as they respond to life's challenges, such as childbirth, adoption, loss of a child, death of a family member, infertility, early childhood trauma, and other life transitions. In addition to working with adults and parents in individual therapy, I specialize in Child-Parent Psychotherapy, working with the dyad to develop a mutually satisfying and enriching relationship. I work individually with children and adolescents, including infants and fussy babies.
Many adults struggle due to unresolved traumas and broken attachments from early life. As a result they may experience anxiety, depression, or other forms of suffering. Ruptures in relationships happen for many reasons and their impact can span generations.
You can't change a traumatic event that has already happened, but you can change the meaning you ascribe to that event. Children heal from trauma through a secure relationship with a caregiver. I serve as a conduit, helping the parent or caregiver become a healing agent for their own child.
