Recent Updates From Sharon Stewart
Last updated | Monday February 17, 2025

As an Addiction Social Worker, I specialize in empowering individuals to recover from addictive behaviors via support and counseling. With an extensive working knowledge of diverse recovery approaches, including family recovery, I feel privileged to help individuals with addiction and their families create change and enjoy productive, meaningful lives. As research shows, addicted individuals often struggle with additional challenges, such as trauma, grief, and mental health disorders and I recognize that quality treatment must be comprehensive to include treatment of these issues.

In addition to treating substance use disorders, I treat a vast array of conditions in an eclectic therapeutic style, using cognitive behavioral therapy techniques, motivational interviewing, as well as principles from solution-focused therapy. I provide comprehensive client assessments and clinical supervision to other professionals in the therapy field.
I also have extensive experience working with professionals and executives, understanding their specific needs. After working in the helping profession since 2004, I hold a Master of Social Work degree and a Clinical Social Work License in Pennsylvania. Also, I have a certification as an Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
