Dr. Teale is a licensed clinical psychologist who received her PhD from Florida State University in 2010. She served in the United States Air Force from 2009 to 2016 and then practiced at the Tomah VA Medical Center from 2016 to 2020. She is primarily a cognitive-behavioral therapist. That is, she believes the way we think about ourselves, others, and the world can greatly impact our emotional well-being. Adjusting our views of self, others, and the world can often result in a healthier outlook and improved self-esteem and relationships with others.
Dr. Teale has a special interest in treating trauma survivors and has worked extensively with people who experienced deployment-related stress, sexual trauma, accidents, and trauma related to first responder duties. She offers Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), both of which are evidence-based treatments for PTSD.
Dr. Teale also offers cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for individuals experiencing anxiety, life stress, role transitions, educational and occupational stress, and other emotional problems.
