I provide in-person and teletherapy services. I offer outdoor based therapy interventions where we will often meet at public park settings. I have found that Ecotherapy can be a successful technique for individuals who struggle with life transitions, self esteem, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. The activities can vary depending on the season and person. Some examples are: forest bathing, fishing, folfing, snowshoeing, forest foraging, swimming, rafting, skiing etc. Ecotherapy is an alternative approach which may be useful to you if you struggled with traditional in-office therapies. Ecotherapy is an alternative approach that combines the inherit benefits of being in nature with psychotherapy. Nature has been proven to benefit our physical and mental health in a variety of ways and I wish to capitalize that benefit to help you with your personal struggles. Mental health struggles are often complex and deeply entrenched in our lives. They can take time to understand and work through. Sometimes we need an alternative type of therapy to work through these struggles. I aim to provide that service to you if you are seeking therapy for the first time or have worked with other therapists.

Counseling is a space used to move into deeper connection with yourself and to release old patterns of being that no longer serve you. I believe when you gain self-regulation skills, self-awareness, and self-acceptance, then you can create the change you seek and experience more freedom/ease. My hope is that you feel safe and fully accepted in my presence so you can explore the more painful parts of your life and honor your strengths. My approach to counseling is client driven and collaborative. I use mindfulness and somatic-based, culturally sensitive, and trauma informed interventions with clients. In the past 9 years, I have worked in many healing-oriented spaces and received training in various modalities including wilderness therapy, yoga, and gestalt therapy. My experiences have both taught me about myself and allowed me to serve people enduring a wide range of issues. I passionately provide a warm and affirming space to all folks. If you feel drawn to work with me, please reach out. I would be honored to walk alongside you on your healing journey. All are welcome here. "Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes." -CG Jung.

Are you finding it hard to enjoy the things you love, like school, hobbies, or because of your anxiety? Do you feel like your anxiety is getting in the way of your relationships, and causing physical symptoms like headaches or stomachaches? The good news is that with the right support and tools, you can learn to manage your anxiety and start living a more fulfilling life. I know how important it is to feel like your therapist is on your side and understands what you're going through. When you're struggling with anxiety, it can feel like no one else really gets it. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space. At the heart of my approach is an understanding that our thoughts and beliefs have a powerful impact on our emotions and reactions. Sometimes, we're not even aware of the thoughts we're having or how they're influencing us. Let's explore how your thoughts and beliefs are contributing to your anxiety. We'll identify any negative self-talk that may be holding you back, and work to reframe those thoughts in a more helpful way. By gaining a deeper understanding of your thought patterns and learning to change them, you'll be better equipped to manage your anxiety and build a more fulfilling life.

I am a EMDR and brainspotting practitioner and I am also a certified clinical hypnotherapist. I have studied energy work such as reiki. Much of my work experience has been working with individuals, adolescents, and those in crisis. I work often with depression and anxiety. I believe our relationship with ourselves is extremely important. When you punish yourself, you prevent the connections and love in your life you so desire. Utilizing EMDR, focused mindfulness, hypnosis, and energy work, I help to teach how to listen to your inner self and rebuild that relationship into a loving one. I focus on not just the mind, but the body and spirit as well. I believe there is so much more to this world than we can see and I help my clients reconnect with their intuition and built trust in themselves. As Jung eloquently puts it, who looks outside dreams; who looks inside awakens.

My therapeutic approach emphasizes a focus on subconscious motives & creativity forms of expression. I am Depth Psychologist with a PhD in Community, Liberation, and Eco psychology and a Masters in Counseling Psychology. I do not believe in fixing people, but instead in helping them explore the reasons symptoms and behaviors are coming forward, then working toward building stronger coping skills and resiliency. Evidence for the efficacy of depth psychological approaches to psychotherapy is growing as studies show that depth psychology has a longer-lasting and more profound impact than cognitive or behavioral psychologies alone. View 5 Photos Exploring dreams, images, symptoms, and meaningful coincidences as well as interpersonal engagements, depth psychologists attempt to understand the language of the unconscious. Approaches to psychological suffering attempt to help individuals become aware of what has been cast out of consciousness. Healing is associated with allowing what has been repressed, rejected, or ignored to come forward. Certified as an Ecotherapist, I value the integration of nature with an awareness of place for optimal mental health. I often utilize art and visual media in my practice and I help clients explore the meaning of their somatic experiences and dreams.

Sessions are currently available, in office and equine assisted psychotherapy. I inherently care about helping you and value your unique life. I'm not a passive counselor who leans back in her chair behind a clipboard muttering an occasional “um-hum.” I am genuinely interested in hearing your story and helping you discover tools and insights to heal and grow. I view you as the expert of your own life and can help you explore patterns and beliefs, help challenge and inspire you and find solutions for change. My ultimate goal is to work with you to create empowerment, freedom and joy in your life. I have worked with a wide variety of mental health challenges but it is very important to me to focus not on the diagnosis, but on the person in front of me. My approach is customized to each individual I work with, and clients come away feeling respected and valued rather than just treated like another client in a lineup. Please reach out to me with any questions you have. I have worked for 20 years as a coach and am honored to have the opportunity to now help in the field of mental health. I work at the office in Kalispell as well as at the stable. I'm supervised by Christine Hurst.
