Everyone has a unique story and perspective on the world. It is my goal to foster a safe and collaborative space where we can build trust and explore various parts of that story together. I value mutual respect, communication, fluidity, and acceptance, and that is what I aim to bring to the therapeutic space. I’m here to provide a warm and meaningful environment for you to feel heard, accepted, and a space where you can creatively challenge the ideas and stories that are a part of your lived experience. I believe that people are not defined by the problems they struggle with. I’m passionate about working with youth, adolescents and young adults through this belief - you are not the problem; the problem is the problem. Through different therapeutic approaches, together we can explore how the problem has manifested itself in your life. Everyone seeks therapy for a different reason, but for whatever reason brought you here, I’m proud of you and am appreciative to be a part of your journey. I would love to speak with you more about how we can work together to achieve your therapeutic goals.

I am warm, direct and non-pathologizing, helping clients seek practical solutions in the present to deal with challenging problems. My focus is to seek the deeper meaning inherent in problems using humor and honesty. I have strong belief in the strength of human beings and their ability to change and heal. The majority of my clients complete their work in ten sessions. For persons with more complex histories, e.g., trauma, we will work until we are done. I draw from a multitude of therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral, Jungian, solution-focused, family systems, and work in a collaborative model. Clients are sometimes given practical homework assignments to experiement with trying new behaviors to get different results. My clients have an unusually wide range of issues, from the very simple to the extremely complex. In addition to being a lifetime learner, a wife, mother, and community social worker, my clients have taught me to remain curious and open to new ways of working.
