I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over ten years of clinical experience. I completed my graduate degree in clinical psychology at Antioch University in Santa Barbara. I specialize in women's issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship issues, and trauma. My approach is client-centered and individualized to meet each client's personal needs and goals. I practice from a strength-based, trauma-informed approach using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, and mindfulness-based practices. I feel that therapy is not a one size fits all approach and my goal is to work collaboratively with clients on issues that are holding them back from having the life they want to be living. I use my experience to serve as a guide, working alongside each client at their pace and level of comfort. My goal is for clients to leave the session with a sense that they found a safe space in which they can grow into their ideal authentic selves. I assist clients in setting goals, developing coping strategies, and gaining self-awareness while building their confidence to make lasting changes in their lives.

It is a courageous decision to take the step to work on yourself and create the life that you hope for. It would be a pleasure to walk with you through your journey to become a better you. As a team, we will develop a collaborative viewpoint where we can explore and process any difficulties related to work, relationships, life changes, learn critical life skills, and create meaningful connections in your life. My passions include creating a safe place to talk about anything that you want to work through, and breaking the stigma of mental illnesses. Opportunities working with adolescents in foster care established my foundation in understanding the social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties. Additionally, I have worked with adolescents and adults with goals to improve anxiety, depression, relationships, and stress. I am skilled at working with clients from diverse backgrounds, who struggle with mood disorders, substance abuse, addiction, depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, and identity issues. In most cases, it is hard to find a counselor clients can connect with. I am dedicated to understanding the unique struggles of clients–therapy is never a one-size-fits-all approach. I am trained to help clients figure out tangible solutions to issues and develop skills to meet their goals. I have been at the receiving end of therapy a few times, and I know it can be hard. It takes courage and dedication to acknowledge there is a problem that needs fixing. I believe you are the expert on your life, and I value your insights. I aim to equip you with the right tools to successfully navigate through future challenges. When therapy fails to produce the desired outcome, it affects both the client and the therapist. My greatest goal and passion in life is to help people thrive. No matter how big or small a problem may seem, a solution is always possible. I look forward to getting in touch with you so we can explore ways to help you feel good and live life like you want to.
