Carl Rogers stated "People are just as wonderful as sunsets...I don’t try to control a sunset. I watch with awe as it unfolds.” This encapsulates my approach to counseling. I am a PLPC approaching therapy from a person-centered perspective, meaning I want to cater to your needs through empathetic listening and understanding without judgment. I want to be a resource for you to grant extra support in your time of need and allow you to have a place to discuss topics which have not been explored in this manner previously. People would describe me as compassionate, nurturing, funny, authentic, and relatable.
My interests revolve around gender identity, sexuality concerns, and psychotic symptoms. I have experience working with mood disorders (depression, bipolar disorder), anxiety, trauma, kids (I the most experience with children ages 6+), substance use concerns, and psychotic disorders (schizophrenia and psychosis).
