Recent Updates From Eliza Parrott

You are taking an important step towards the kind of life you want to live by considering counseling. The point of counseling is to empower you to realize what you care about and engage in life in a way that honors your values. Whether you are facing difficulty, feeling stuck, or hoping to preserve optimal well-being, therapy can help you identify thoughts, emotions and behaviors that might interfere with your ability to live a meaningful life. I can help you feel more able and willing to accept your circumstances and tolerate distress in service of your goals and values.
I work collaboratively with individuals to help them notice, challenge, and replace thoughts, emotions, memories, and behaviors that move them away from their goals and values. In doing so, we can take power and influence away from unhelpful patterns, ultimately freeing oneself from unnecessary suffering.
I have experience working on issues related to anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief, and suicidal ideation with children, adolescents, and adults. I enjoy working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder to encourage a rich understanding of the core symptoms of ASD and the ways they influence mental and physical functioning.
