Recent Updates From Karly Johnston
Last updated | Tuesday October 22, 2024
Life can be more challenging and painful than we would like it to be. Sometimes we feel stuck and confused, and may have a difficult time figuring out what to do next, or how to make things better. My hope is to support you through these challenging moments, and to help you process and move forward from these sources of pain. I work with a range of clients and issues, but am passionate about issues involving self-esteem, relationship issues, childhood trauma, depression, and anxiety. I gravitate towards working with adults and teens struggling to navigate the world and looking to develop a stronger sense of self.
I believe that each client coming to therapy is a unique individual. I pull from different theoretical backgrounds, but mainly take a humanistic client-centered approach. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy (for individuals/families/groups/couples), both for longstanding trauma and recent traumatic events.
I believe everyone has the potential to live a happier and more fulfilling life. If you are ready to make meaningful changes in your life, I would love to help. I will support you throughout our journey together, in order to help you achieve your personal goals and grow toward becoming the person you want to be. Please feel free to reach out to me.
