Recent Updates From Sara Wyatt
Last updated | Thursday October 10, 2024
Working with a therapist can help children and teens learn how to handle past, present, and future challenges. Everyone is unique, so the techniques I use with individuals may differ, but one thing remains true: everyone has the ability within themselves for a great potential for change and growth. However, some challenges in life can cause this ability to be hindered. As a therapist, my job is to facilitate growth by meeting the child or teen where they are at and letting them know they are seen and heard.
With children, I use a developmentally appropriate approach to counseling called play therapy. Children do not have the words and abstract thinking to verbalize and process their thoughts. Play is language for the child, and toys are their words.
When life seems unpredictable and change comes, I am here to offer support through changing seasons. When you are ready, it would be an honor to journey alongside of you and your children while you navigate life.
