She has continued her work with seniors in various capacities. She has served as a Board member with Sourcewise, the Area Agency on Aging in Santa Clara County, and a Local Advocacy Network Representative with the Santa Clara County Psychological Association. I have been in the counseling field since 2006, having received my master's in Community Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2005. I practiced for a few years in a variety of settings, including work with a child advocacy center situated in a general counseling agency and in college advisement. In 2009, I returned to school and received my PhD in Counseling in 2015. I taught full-time in Counselor Education from 2016-2022 and have transitioned to running my own fully online practice. I still teach adjunct in play therapy and other coursework for several universities. I am board certified in telemental health and am licensed in both North Carolina and Tennessee. I am also an approved telehealth provider for South Carolina. Finally, I have my Approved Clinical Supervisor, Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, and National Certified Counselor credentials. I generally come from an integrative perspective, but have completed training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and am a Level II AEDP therapist. This lens allows me to incorporate mindfulness and interpersonal neurobiology, as well as place an emphasis on self-compassion. I have worked with a variety of issues and have practiced as a generalist for most of my career. However, my areas of specialty are supporting parents/caregivers (Child Parent Relationship Therapy), working with children/adolescents, working with folks who have experienced trauma, and working with attachment concerns in relationships. Historically, I've done play therapy, but with practicing only online, I am not doing that right now. I present on, and have expertise in, a variety of advocacy-related topics and consider myself a passionate social justice advocate. I am affirming of all gender and sexual orientation identities, as well as family and relationship structures.

Hello wonderful colleagues! I am a native Texan, who also lived in CA and MD, established myself in CT for over a decade, and currently transitioning to MA (#wanderlust). I have been in private practice since 2016, and specialize in couples work. I am advanced trained in EFT, and also use AEDP, Attachment-based, Narrative, and Structural techniques with clients. My primary focus is repair and reconnection work, but I also enjoy uncoupling work, and I'm a trained divorce mediator. I do not wear that hat very often, but I utilize those skills when needed to support uncoupling clients. I also have an interest in ADHD in couples, and looking for opportunities to learn more and assist these clients! If you know of any solid trainings and resources, please pass those along! I have a warm, laid back, curious approach, know my stuff, and prefer a sense of humor in session after a solid break through. My practice stays pretty full, but I generally have a "floater" here and there to take on a new client. I have recently gone full private pay and no longer accept in-network due to....all the reasons (WTF to all the things insurance related!). I am happy to help clients with the out of network process, and also work with the Lyra EAP. As I'm rebuilding in MA, I'd love to meet new colleagues in the area! I'm physically located on the Cape until May 2023 (when I'll be a traveling therapist in Europe for awhile), and offer telehealth only at this time. I look forward to getting to know you! Jacquie
