My couples appts are currently full and I do not keep a waiting list - I will update this information when couples appts become available. There are times in life when the coping skills that we have are no longer effective and the things that you thought that you moved past are somehow staring you in the face. I provide a comfortable atmosphere to discover skills to tackle old and new "things". I enjoy working with adults and couples. My area of interests include anxiety, depression, marital concerns, PTSD, and trauma. I incorporate CBT, DBT, EMDR, and AEDP into my practice. When working with couples I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Gottman curriculum. My goal is to partner with clients to explore the skills they desire to focus on in their broad situations and life experiences. I believe that therapy is a unique partnership between the client and therapist. I am open to exploring a partnership that will yield your desired outcomes. You are welcome to schedule a phone consultation to decide if I would be a good partner in your wellness journey. I feel I am a different kind of counselor, because there is not a sense of separation between client and counselor. Clients are often impressed with how quickly times goes in session, they explain, "it's like talking to a good friend", "you make me feel so comfortable and not judged". We still get the work done just as effectively, but prepare to feel more relaxed....our offices are homey and comfortable. We kick our feet up on a coffee table, and chat in a way that allows people to feel more like talking to a friend than a stranger. Certain people come into our lives for a reason. I believe the clients I work with have as much as a role coming into my life and teaching me something....as I do theirs. If it is meant to be that we cross paths, we will. All counselors at Chrysalis are super special, Clients are assigned to a counselor after a phone call with Chrysalis, and we determine the best fit. We have male & female counselors. We are a NH IDCMP/DWI program and we also specialize in Addictions, Mental Health, Evaluations, License Reinstatement , Anger Management, Veterans and DUI/DWI clients.
