I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over ten years of clinical experience. I completed my graduate degree in clinical psychology at Antioch University in Santa Barbara. I specialize in women's issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship issues, and trauma. My approach is client-centered and individualized to meet each client's personal needs and goals. I practice from a strength-based, trauma-informed approach using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, and mindfulness-based practices. I feel that therapy is not a one size fits all approach and my goal is to work collaboratively with clients on issues that are holding them back from having the life they want to be living. I use my experience to serve as a guide, working alongside each client at their pace and level of comfort. My goal is for clients to leave the session with a sense that they found a safe space in which they can grow into their ideal authentic selves. I assist clients in setting goals, developing coping strategies, and gaining self-awareness while building their confidence to make lasting changes in their lives.

I am a licensed psychologist based in Washington, D.C. and Maryland. I earned my Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Florida, completed my doctoral internship at the University of Florida’s Counseling and Wellness Center, and a post-doctoral fellowship with an emphasis in clinical training and supervision at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I have over 10 years of education, training, and professional experience in university, community mental health, and outpatient treatment settings. Prior to my career in private practice, I was a staff psychologist at the University of Maryland College Park where I provided individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, clinical training, community outreach, and consultation. I work with adults who are navigating a wide variety of life stages and mental health concerns. My goal is to offer a compassionate and collaborative therapy relationship that can facilitate wellness and healing. I help my clients across a broad range of experiences, including multicultural concerns, LGBTQ+ concerns, family and relationship issues, personal growth and identity development, perfectionism, anxiety disorders, women's issues, or trauma recovery. I use an integrative therapy approach to uniquely fit my clients' needs as they grow and heal over time. I have found that blending interpersonal, psychodynamic, multicultural-feminist, mindfulness-based, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives tends to be helpful for many clients. I am committed to actively evolving and working from a diversity of clinical frameworks as a practicing psychologist.
